Unnoficial Latest KODI Leia 18 with ZidooPlayer

Does anyone have an issue searching SMB when adding a source .. I get no results but works fine in HT 2.0

 

I recommend posting this in the Kodi forum as this is only a recompile of existing code. Bugs won't be fixed... only kodi developers can fix bugs.

 

I'm not looking for a fix, I'm asking if anyone else has the problem

KODI uses SMB 1.0 protocol so please make sure your server does not specify SMB 2.0 as min: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=304203&pid=2688499#pid2688499

Does anyone know how to get this to detect 4k resolution. The May build is locked at 1080P 60 and that is what is listed under "whitelist" as well. "Expert Setting"

@cobric: any chance to make an update with the latest Alpha2. I don't expect any improvements but the mySQL database has been changed and so I don't get any update from the central database...

in the last two releases kodi force closed after the start of the extern player

 

After changing the audio output to 2.1 Kodi doesn't close after playing with the external player.

Recent Zidoo X9S firmware 2.0.34 has stutter issue in some video files described here:

Looking for alternative player before rolling back firmware to 2.0.25 I experimented a bit with Kodi player. I'm quite happy with ZDMC but Kodi player has constant skipped frames described in this post:

Going a little further I installed latest build KODI/ZDMC 18 Leia - Build date: 27-08-2018 from this forum.

Now I'm going to ask a dumb question here
Why is the refresh rate not accessible and locked to 60Hz? It works in ZDMC.

The performance of Kodi player from this Leia 18 build is horrible compared to ZDMC v.17.6. Software player chokes on every frame making playback 2fps! Raspberry Pi 3 B+ has identical CPU Cortex A53 processor 1.4 GHz in different chipset but it can decode HD MP4 videos in software mode flawless.

 

Is there a tuturial how to do it?
We are now on beta 2, and there will be more until final release.
Tried to edit assets/systeem/setting.xml
Copied your playercore.xml and made a new apk.
Unfortunally it did not work.

 

Last version doesn't work. The installation fails.

Hi all!

I'm currently building versions for myself with as little as possible differences from original KODI code. This is because as KODI code is progressing, it's harder to maintain compatibility with ZDMC source https://github.com/zidootech/ZDMC which is based on KODI 17.6. As soon as Zidoo team releases ZDMC 18 i'll merge all code to my build (including frame rate and resolution switching), but until then I'll keep building latest KODI with limited functions from ZDMC (I'm adding just Zidoo external player as option for playing media).
