Ok I have everything on the recommended settings. [My TV supports] -4K 60HZ(RGB:8 420:12 422:12 444:8) -4K 30HZ(RGB:12 422:12 444:12) -4K 24HZ(RGB:12 422:12 444:12) When I Play HDR10 content I get YUV 444 12Bits BT2020 When I play Dolby Vision Content I get RGB 8 Bits BT2020 Why Is the Dolby Vision outputting in RGB 8bits? Also when I press Info it says Colorimetry BT202(HDR) But When I| press play the Dolby Vision From My TV comes on along on the right-hand side as well as the Player DV Logo from the left. I just want to know if everything is working as it should as in I'm getting the best picture quality possible for my TV. Thanks! Edit- The Movie I was testing for the DV playback was A quiet place. It was made using MakeMKV. Other DV Movies are the same, although I haven't tried all of them.
If that list of modes are all your TV can support then yes, the modes you get are correct as according to your list it doesn't support 10-bit 444 (which is odd) So 12-bit 444 is perfectly fine and will give exactly the same results as 10-bit 444 - the only difference is it uses more bandwidth on the HDMI cable. For the 237 millionth time, 8-bit RGB for Standard Dolby Vision is correct - it uses HDMI tunneling to produce the 12-bit Dolby signal. BT.2020 is correct for standard DV also. Bottom line - yes, from what you said, everything is as it should be and you're getting the best from the TV.
