Software is a waste so it doesn't matter.

Are you sure that new products will be released in august?
I see no reason for a new device as the range is already pretty broad and there is no new SoC anyway.
They might release the Zidoo X finally though.

I don't see a new Realtek SOC coming yet so no new motherboards with e.g. HDMI 2.1 expected by me.

To add to the current line a X20 replacement could come? Player Z20 Pro with dual HDD bays, dual Video outputs and 4 GByte memory in fact making it a UHD3000 without the audio panel just like X20 versus X20 Pro. This is easy to do as it requires hardly any development. Even the PSU of Z1000 Pro can directly be reused.

Obviously that Neo X is now overdue more than a year and should finally come. This provided the MP gets some more structural updates after adding gapless playback, 24-bit via HDMI and USB-output. Thinking about DSD 2CH/MCH via HDMI and 2CH/MCH DVD-Audio mainly.
I would love the Neo X HW to have MCH Analog Audio outputs with a dual DAC panel (2CH and 8CH outputs) like the high end UHD Disc players typically have. Anyway I expect it to get a new full width chassis. With its bigger height it should get dual front HDD bays now stacked on top of each other leaving space for that nice big front panel. To complete obviously that headphone AMP/plug and HD audio via Bluetooth 5.1. They may then even ask that €2000,- price tag planned last year for Neo X.

Pretty sure they only release new hardware generations every two years, X9s (2016), Z9S (2018), and Z9X(2020). I don't see them releasing new hardware this year as a result.

    I was going by the x10 models which was 2017 , 2018 , 2020
But yes diff to the 9 series models which do come out first .

Mind you to me the Z10Pro still seems very new out as such .......
will have to wait & see if a revision or more High End models come .

If anything it will be High End and/or HiFi.

Yes it maybe looking that way
Or a cpu revision like the 1295/1296 chipset for any failings on the
1619Rd that cant be addressed via firmware change ?

Did not hear about Realtek coming with something. It takes then a year next before something is ported to new media players.

    hello,

I just spoke to a trusted source and that there would be a new model or models this fall with a variant of the rtd1619 that would support dual layer among others....

Stay tuned, I will have more information in the next few hours

Don't expect nothing new this year due to all shortages of chipsets and other components . It's worldwide so i expect more early next year.
