Interesting and a bit strange. FW 6.6.60 for Neo X as a emergency flash image and a regular FW 6.6.80 for Neo S.
I always like an emergency image in my back pocket for just in case. Apparently the same FW update got pushed via OTA for Neo X.

Hello,

My NEO X has been updated today (Roon certification).
But it seems the vu meters are no longer in the screen saver mode list.
Vanished !

The screensaver now works as an analog/digital clock or black screen with multiple clock choices. Was asked for by many including myself. These resulted actually very nice. Also selecting (No =Off) for the timer is now included.
I would like to see the hands of the analog clock to be a bit thicker for better visibility at a distance.
Another option with a small floating clock would make it a real screensaver next to using just black.

I am pretty convinced those nice meters will come back (suggested to do that via display mode selection).
These were no real screensavers.

The strange thing is that the vu meters are mentioned in the changelog list !

 

You are right. I think they just forgot to implement these changes:

Thanks' for showing us. The changelog in fact showed the feature as implemented under Touch Screen but it is (will be) implemented within MP itself after all which makes a lot of sense.
Was put on the wrong leg as they call it.

But must be work in progress as I still don't get it to work selecting that button using the Front Panel controls with my Neo X.
It is neither on the TV menu yet to be selected using the Remote Control.
Warning: I see in general that TV and Front Panel views/controls with MP are growing further apart. That does not improve intuitive control in my modest perception.

But very glad the functionality of the Front Panel is being giving attention as it deserves.
The one many waiting for: MP view with Artist, Album, Title big font 3 rows scrolling on the front panel. Easy readable at viewing distance similar to the clocks now.
