My icons/widgets for Posterwall...

Hello,

Welcome to those who will read these lines.

Here is a thread to propose you some icons that I make for a personal use and that I want to share.

The "Negative" point...

I had already spoken to Zidoo is the grey circles of selection that we can not change and that according to me spoils the final result, my desire would be to be able to change it as we can do with the icons of the launcher ''Cancer'' of Zidoo.

Note

My work is based on my 77" TV for the creation of my Widgets/Icons, and with this diagonal my Widgets/Icons are not a soup of pixels

I don't know if my icons will be suitable for small TV sets.

That's why I chose as much as possible images with few details so that it doesn't look like a soup of pixels.

How to change a widget

As Zidoo sells their devices like hotcakes, questions from new users come up frequently

One of them is: how to change a widget ? (there is also the one with the streaming service of course).

So especially for you newcomers in the world of Zidoo devices, I made a GIF to show you how to do it.

The icons/widgets can be assimilated to shortcuts allowing you to access directly to a category/theme of movies

Personally I don't use the widgets proposed by default with Posterwall (3D, 4K, etc... because sometimes the results are weird).

What follows is only my opinion...

The best is to create your own category/theme according to your taste.

And unless I'm mistaken there are 2 ways to do it...

Using the "add to category" option available with Posterwall, but it's a long process, Zidoo didn't look for a more user-friendly way.

By creating your own category/theme folder according to your personal taste in your source.

It's true that it's a bit long if you start from zero but once it's done we don't talk about it anymore.

Icon Widget Alternative


Here is a series of icons to replace those of Posterwall.

The best is to use a dark background, either the default one (dark gray) or one of black color as on the capture below with my Widgets.

Icons Film Genre / Category

Here are some icons representing genre movies.

There are also variants available in the RAR file, as well as icons of genre movies that are not present on the image like the one for Martial Arts or Adult movies.

As said above, the best is to create your genre folder in your sources, this is my opinion.​

The ideal is to use a dark background, either the default background (dark gray), or a black background as on the capture below with my Widgets.

Default Widget Category

Some people like to use the default widgets of Posterwall. So I took the liberty of creating similar looking widgets to offer the main movie categories to Zidoo device users.

There are 22 Themes that will allow you to make your own category

For the fans of Marvel, DC universe, Disney, etc.... I think I'll make some of them...the most famous ones anyway
