Just to say that a full XMOS driver is now available: https://dl.eversolo.com/dac/usb/EversoloUsbAudio_v5.58.0_2023-09-05_setup.exe
Is this to be downloaded vid usb stick to dmp 6 using the update feature? Can it actually be installed in the z8 dac?
No, the driver is for playing music from a Windows PC via USB, and the new driver that eversolo has almost just put on their website is the brand new and updated Thesycon v5.58 driver, which now also makes it possible to play native DSD all the way up to DSD512 @atomic garden and me did a lot of work to succeed in getting that driver
Tried it but cannot output anything higher than 44khz 16bit from my pc.. Is there a tutorial for configuring Foobar with it ?
You need a plugin in foobar to play DSD. It is called foo_input_SACD. https://sourceforge.net/projects/sacddecoder/files/foo_input_sacd/ I don't know how familiar you are with Foobar, but in the beginning it has quite a learning curve. This is not the place to give you a tutorial how to setup this plugin in Foobar (and how to use Foobar2000 in general). I suggest you take a look on the Foobar forum and direct your questions there: This link is about the SACD plugin: https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,105994.0.html#:~:text=if you have a portable, foobar to complete the installation. This link is to the Foobar forum in general: https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/board,28.0.html The driver provide by Eversolo is an ASIO driver for Windows. More info about ASIO drivers can be found here: https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/a...onal-level,audio dropouts and other artifacts. and here: Audio Stream Input/Output - Wikipedia
The cable is plugged into USB (OTG), is there anything else that needs to be changed in the Eversolo settings?
Sorry, my fault. I don't know why I mixed up my thoughts about Gustard A26 which I have and Eversolo which I also have. Sorry.
Does the DMP-A6 USB v5.58 driver allow for hardware volume control from Windows? (Asking because DENAFRIPS is still on v5.57 but released a v3.14 USB firmware update that enable volume control on the Windows side.) It's this tab in the USB Driver controls: Status | Buffer Settings | Volume | Info | About
