No one is stopping you from talking about Kodi etc or workarounds …
Just Zidoo may not update ZDMC to the latest kodi .

But you never know .

 

Maybe will update, maybe not at once.

Hello! I have put Kodi 19.5 on the Z10, but I have noticed that it is very very slow. It is unable to reproduce anything via LAN, not to mention online, everything is very slow for me, including browsing. I have 600mb/s fiber but it seems like I have 3mb/s. What could I do? Thank you!!

 

Install ZDMC 19.4 instead (it is set up properly for Zidoo ).

 

I have also tried it, but there are certain applications that do not perform for me with large 4K files, it slows down.

Yeah. Kodi is a power hungry app. It runs based on your CPU, RAM, storage technology and internet speed. It's also based on your setup, addons intalled, etc.
I setup my ZDMC as full streaming app because my external hard drive broke up with me. And it's a little heavy. Need atleast 2 minutes to be loaded at first. Movie and TV Hub load in 30 seconds... That's why I'm a little excited about Kodi 20 because it's like 30% faster that ZDMC.
If you are using Kodi 19.5, use ZDMC instead because it's more optimized...

 

Currently testing the latest Nexus nightly build. It's super stable. Looks like Kodi will release v20.1 very soon...

Standard Kodi on a Zidoo device is absolutely useless. The whole point of ZDMC is that it is the normal Kodi + the ability of using the Zidoo video player which is optimized for the Zidoo device and its internals. Performance wise it makes no difference if you use Kodi 19.4 or ZDMC 19.4 because its only a little modification.

If you do not use the Zidoo player then you could go for any random Android box.

Seems like regular video devices like Z9X are not their priority altogether anymore. Focusing on some random DAC products instead.

Yes, but I get dependency errors installing it on the Zidoo.

Maybe he has a work around, or he's running it on a windows pc.

Looks exciting so i'll try to dabble with it but that being said, last time I tried regular Kodi, it had bad stuttering and I just went back to the trusty HT4.0.

 

Yes. Almost 4 months and I loved it! It's like all streaming services in one app.

 

One big caveat is it doesnt use the HT4.0 engine for playback but still I'll give it a try, thanks for sharing.

 

I'm using my phone for the video. I have the same setup in my Z9X but not that fast.

I have no issue installing it in my Z9X. Try to enable unknown sources. And change the setting below that to "any repositories".

 

It's also working on ZDMC.
