Is There A DMP-A7 due soon?

USB output is all digital with no volume control.

 

Not sure if you are referring to the DMP-A6. But I'm using the USB output of my DMP-A6 and the volume control works for PCM files. When playing DSD/DSF the volume control is not active.

 

If it works it is a bad idea doing so. It reduces the S/N ratio of the chain.

 

With the RCA output I can also use the volume control when playing PCM files

 

If it works? Yes it does work. I do not use the volume control but it’s available for those that wish to use it.
