How to setting ZIDOO X6 Audio passthrough in Kodi

7.1 and 5.1 Channel HD-Audio via HDMI

Kodi settings:

System - Settings - System - Settings level: Advanced.
System - Settings - System - Audio output: Number of channels 7.1.
System - Settings - System - Audio output: Enable passthrough.
System - Settings - System - Audio output: Dolby Digital (AC3) capable receiver
System - Settings - System - Audio output: DTS capable receiver
System - Settings - System - Audio output: True-HD capable receiver
System - Settings - System - Audio output: DTS-HD capable receiver

When I setup my box like this I still get hiccups. How to get audio passthrough without hiccups?

I realized it only works with HD sound. But how to work with Dolby digital, DTS surround etc? Then audio is completely out of sync.

Please advise.

You can not play a movie with audio passthrough,
the audio must be deactivated passthougt
I have to know this and do not buy the zidoo V6, still be with Beelink I68 having the same problems and is cheaper ...
a big disappointment ....

I tried the custom and normal version of kodi. It makes no difference.

That's sad. I was hoping the syncing issues would not exist with official kodi.

Zidoo please see to this for your next update, there is plenty of us who just cannot use our X6 pro.

 

Kodi use the version that comes installed on the firmware V 1.0.22
I have not changed Kodi.

 

Are the zidoo people on holiday?

 

I made update to 1.0.27 firmware, and it fix know. No hiccups ocurred.

Hi! I set my x6 with the S/PDIF settings but my home theater doesn't work! Can be a problem of the box?

After that I try to connect the S/PDIF output of my TV (with is connected to the x6 by hdmi) to the same home theater and in this case it works but I can not set the volume using the kodi setting and it works only in stereo 2.1

 

Hi:
when use S/PDIF, the HDMI connect to TV, the S/PDIF connect to the speaker. and the android setting must SPDIF, the kodi setting open the passthrough.
when passthrough output, you could not set the volume useing the kodi setting, you could change the volume through speaker.

 

Thanks for the answer. I try the first time in this way but didn't work. It's seem an hardware problem of the box. If I connect the x6 with the right setting to the audio system via optical cable it makes any sound. even the other sounds not only with kodi

Any suggestions to understand if it is an android box problem?

i thing this is the setting problem.
does it have sound when you set PCM via HDMI cable?if it has sound, and it can confirm the hardware has no problem.
and the software,we can confirm it has not problem.

 

i updated to 27 and now i have problems with passthrough!!! sound 5.1 all works except the talking there is no sound?
so background music is on just cant hear talking? anyomne know what that problem is?
