Correct, 4.7.0 does not support rooted devices.
Let's hope that 4.6.0 is not the last usable version in Eversolo, seeing the abandonment that seems to have occurred in recent times things are looking bad, I have hope in Eversolo's support, I have flattered it this time, but there has been a clear stagnation.

yes i downgraded to 4.6.0 and Apple Music is working, but if the future versions of apple music are unsupported my investment in eversolo will be a waste as apple music was the primary reason for purchasing the streamer

Although the result might look (or be) the same to you (Apple Music not working) it is not a matter of "Eversolo not supporting AppleMusic", but the other way around: Apple not supporting Eversolo; so any complain should be put at Apple's attention.

A waste? What prevents you from just using the AM app version that is already installed, even if future versions might be incompatible?

Nothing prevents it as of now, but unless there is clarity on future support it is a matter of time before the supported version may not be ideal.

Whatever "may not be ideal" means. As @Nutul has already explained, the ball is firmly in Apple's court. I doubt there’s anything Zidoo can do, if Apple is unwilling to support rooted devices.

I bought two master editions primarily due to Apple Music being available .

I cannot play music now . Says content is not authorized . How do I get Apple back ?

You have to install AM version 4.6
NOT 4.7 or newer, as Apple they refuse to run on rooted devices.

    Side-load the app as usual.

Thanks for info . Working now .

I wonder how long 4.6 will last ? Is Eversolo considered a rooted device but Android phones are not ?

Not all Android phones are rooted (preferably, they are not)
It will last until Apple decides it's too old... but I heard Eversolo is working on a fix/patch to this issue...

I just set up my Eversolo and it is NOT installed. There is no mention of it on any screen. I wonder if Apple has told them to take it off? And I would appreciate some help in installing it, as being an Apple person, I have never "side loaded" anything.

    https://music.eversolo.com/dmp/instruction/EVERSOLO-DMP-A6-User-Manual-v1.0.pdf

Page 14 shows it under "Music Apps" in the "Streaming" section. That's where it was when I set up my A6.

It's near the start of the very thread you’re posting in:

So has the fix been implemented in the latest firmware update ?

Try installing the AppleMusic app. If it complains about rooted devices, obviously, the problem is still there...

I installed the Apple Music app and added it to the home screen, but it does not appear in the list of sources available on the "streaming" page along with Tidal etc. When I select Apple Music from the home screen, the account appears, and I can select music that I have added to my library, but when I select such an album I get a "not authorized" pop up and no audio.

I suspect there is another step I am missing but need some of your help figuring out what. I am on v1.2.98 according to the "about" tab.

    Thanks in advance.

It won't show up in streaming but under apps in Cast under the Home button. There are certain Apple app versions that don't work with Eversolo. Not sure which one you installed.

    Thanks for the prompt response.

When I booted the machine for the first time, I had to download Apple Music, which was not among the list of native apps. I did so, and can't be sure which version that was (there was only one choice provided). It also offered the option to put the icon on the home screen which I did. Now, when I select Apple Music from the home screen, I get a pop up box that says "This content is not authorized. Error code: 0."

I should add that it will play albums that I ripped from CDs to the library. The difficulty is with music coming from Apple Music itself. Also worth mentioning: Apple Music app on my phone and laptop play the "added" music from Apple Music without problem.

Are you signed in under settings ?

Yeah, and it connects to my account. So when the app launches, all my music is there. The Apple Music stuff won't play though; I get an error message instead.

Did you try to sign out and then sign back in ?
