HDMI and SPDIF output to different amps?

I've been using a Denon receiver with the Z9X to playback 5.1 sound through HDMI, but I have just bought a new intergrated amp (by NAD) that I will now use for stereo music listening, but would also like to use for the L/R output in the 5.1 setup. My Denon doesn't seem to have the pre-out connectors I need to connect the L/R channels to the NAD, so I was wondering...

Can I continue to use the HDMI out on the Z9X to the Denon to play just the center and surround speakers while also using the SPDIF output on the Zidoo to the NAD to play the L/R signal?

Yes, just set HDMI audio to RAW (or Auto) and set the SPDIF out to LPCM 2 Channel.

Thanks, that's just what I was hoping to hear.

Setting SPDIF to LPCM 2 Channel will do a downmix of the source to that. If that is what you really like to get?
