    Just to comment something.
I tried to play movies 1080p 24 Hz native in 60 Hz forced display resolution. As a result I found a lot of Stuttering.
    HDCP was turned off.
I changed HDCP to ON 2.2 And everything worked Fine.
    Yamaha RXV 770 + OPTOMA 1080P projector .
    Does anyone know why ?
This was only a test. I regularly enable 24hz framerate.
    Zidoo Z10 pro.

That's usually what happens when you try to play a file at a different refresh rate than what was intended.

It always happens if you try to play a file at the wrong frame rate.

@Eugenio Elias go to settings and set Playback/Auto frame rate to either "Match frame rate only" or "Match frame rate and resolution"

I would suggest "Match frame rate only"

I understand but it does not explain to me the effect of turning HDCP ON. Does that implicitly enforce native resolution?

I discovered that is a problem with my projector (Optoma HD92)
If I switch off and inmediately switch on the projector DURING playback, the problem dissapears at all . If I set Match frame rate, Not problem at all and all worked Fine.
Mine was only a test to check 24 to 60 hz conversion.
The curious thing is that this does not happen with my old HIMEDIA player.
Anyway. I always watch movies at original framerate.
    Thanks a lot your post

No, HDCP is a bit of a red herring in this.

    I agree
At last I realized that HDCP has nothing to do with this.
Perhaps switching it on and off simply made the projector resync
