Having played with my DMP-A6 today, I'm hoping that EverSolo are keeping an eye on the forums and we can post feature requests/bug reports for discussion with them.
Only 2 small things I've spotted so far. Once powered off, Roon loses touch with the device until it's powered back up again. My Matrix Audio remains visible in Roon and powers up automatically when you start playing something. Despite setting the clock to 24 hour mode, the screen saver does not seem to respect this and shows 5.35 instead of 17.35.
The network card is powered down when the unit is set to PowerOff so your Roon server (or any other server) won't see it - this is something I've flagged with the devs but I don't know yet if it's a hardware limitation or not.
No, if the device is powered off, it can’t be seen by Roon or the EverSolo app currently. Hopefully this can be fixed in a firmware update at some point. My Matrix Audio and CA CXN v2 keep their network interface active enough for Roon or their respective apps to start them up.
1.When the system shuts down, the network module will stop working unless it is a fake shutdown. So this feature is almost impossible 2. will check the clock mode issue.
I assume it's not possible for the network card to run at 10-baseT and use WOL similar to the 1619? Maybe add a Standby (fake shutdown ) option?
I agree with this problem, aggravated by the fact that still there is no remote control, so the only way to switch on the streamer is to stand up and push the front button, which is also not very soft to press.
The coming RC is using IR for power on/off. So it's possible to get the codes for it? Otherwise I'm using for some devices a remote switchable power outlet and here the question: Will start then (in getting the power) the DMP-A6 in the online modus?
Take a deeper look into your link (second picture from the RC) and then you'll see, that for power on/off IR will used. The other controls are using bluetooth.
One more minor strange issue. I had been listening to the album shown in the image below earlier, then listened to BBC Sounds using the built in app. From the Roon app on my phone, I started listening to a BBC radio station on the DMP but the album art is still displaying on the screen while playing the radio station live. EDIT: - just switched to another album in Roon via my phone and the correct album art was displayed. Then switched back to live radio in Roon and the correct radio station showed on the screen, albeit the DMP is not rendering the station logo too well.
Have tried DMP-A6 HDMI audio in with my KEF LS60W and Sonos beam but it doesn’t work, if it can be only connected with A/V receiver?
Now that you have hybrid output for xlr and rca out, my request is for a software crossover using high and low pass filters in order to integrate an active sub via the rca out and mains via the xlr outputs. This would make the DMP a must buy for me.
