Hey Mark, I tried the 0.001 nits edid and as you claimed, I didn't notice any difference with the 0.000 nits edid. Thanks again for everything Mark.

Late to the party but the custom EDID Mark Swift provided proved to be the solution for my 77 LG C3 as well. Now the tv is set in the standard setting without lowering the black levels manually.
