I plan to move all my HDD’s to a new NAS build therefore all the directories and files will be the same but the IP address will change.

Does anyone know of a way where I can keep all my scraping info so I will not have to rescan all my video files?

I have backed up my library to a thumb drive and saved to NFO files.

Use "Syncronise data from other source" in HT to transfer everything as is without the need to scan anything.

    Synchronise Data from Other Source
    =================================

    1. Do not delete your old source(s) from HT!!

    2. Once the old source is disconnected and the new one set up with EXACTLY the same movies etc,
add it as a new source but DO NOT SCAN IT (press <Return> when prompted to scan).

    3. Now select it, press <menu> and choose "Synchronise data from other source"

    4. Choose the old source and the old library will be applied to the new files

    5. Once this is done and confirmed working, you can delete the old source

    Thanks for the info.

Safe to assume if Settings → Preferences → Automatic updating sources is On then new titles will be seen when added?

I just tried to do this.
Copied all my movies from old hdd to new (in my pc), and plugged the new hdd into my Z1000Pro.
But when i try to use "Synchronise data from other source" I get "operation failed. Please try again later".... :(

You mentioned in the linked thread that "Yes, that should work but there was a bug that meant that the operation failed in synchronising sources as you describe, but that was fixed in v1.0.58"
My firmware is 6.4.54 and there is no new one available if I try to update.
Would it help if I manually updated to Z1000-Pro_P_v6.4.68 from disk?

    Update:
I updated the firmware. that helped.
Not sure if it was the update or just the reboot :)

I moved my movies to a nas.
I used the sync functionalty when adding the new source so it grabbed all the references fromn the old source.
It worked fine. My posterwall pointed to the new location in the NAS and I could play the files.

Then I enabled "automatically scan sources", and now it has started re-doing all the references... why?
    is that really intended?
I mean it had already correctly changed the location from locale drive to NAS.
All folder and file names are the same
