    A lot of questions and wishes to the developer have already accumulated over the entire time. But unfortunately bugs in the software are being slowly eliminated. The translation is not added to other languages, which has long been time to update.

    Yes, you're right. Translation is a pending issue in this project.

    Everyday I come in expecting a new Beta in the works but this is getting lame. They had figured out the bug and just needed to make the fix available to the public in Beta form - not sure what's taking so long. Chinese folks not doing work from home during Covid? OR just focusing on other hardware now?

    I was so excited to be part of the community that had direct connections and contacts with a very active and enthusiastic Dev Team but maybe becoming the same story as every other company; spread out too thin across multiple products.

    Oh well, Patience is a virtue.

    Of course, it is possible that Covid Zidoo has thrown a spanner in the works. But it is also possible that the beta is bigger and/or not yet running smoothly.
    There are many possibilities why more than 3 months have passed since the last beta and there is no sign of a new beta.
    The easiest thing to do would be for Zidoo to issue a sentence or two.
    Then the users would know and would not have to speculate.
    It could be so simple.

    Why make any guesses? Let's call a spade a spade. All of us present were simply thrown for money. Draw conclusions is it worth buying these products from this manufacturer? The functions that are stated as reading the BLU - To menu do not work properly despite a bunch of released firmware, the same DUNE has no problems with this.
    Translation of the menu into other languages - it simply does not exist, despite the fact that they are posted by translators. You and I are not put in anything.

    Dune probably doesnt have the Picture Quality that Z9X has.

    Well, of course not. Do you have their top product? I think not. Then why is your question about the fact that they have no quality? I personally have already regretted 10 times that I bought ZIDOO 3000UHD / Rare slag in terms of support and problem solving. So the image of DUNE is not almost worse and there are no problems.

    It is very easy and convenient to declare someone who has a different opinion and also represents it a troll. Then you don't have to deal with criticism, you don't have to justify anything.
    But this method is very popular at the moment.

    And even that is a very different opinion to the ones held by experienced members on here.

    First this forum is a User Forum not one organised by Zidoo. It survives by members helping each other politely and respectfully. In recent months there have been what seems an ever growing group of members hell bent on knocking Zidoo, whatever experienced members may say. It isn't a case of holding a different opinion per se as they are disrespecting the view or views held by the experienced member. Often their first posts are antagonistic, rude in some cases and clearly demonstrate they haven't done any research before posting.

    The very experienced members particularly are always eager to help but if someone comes in with an issue they have, slagging off Zidoo, particularly if they are rude, then appreciate 2 things: - 1. You probably will not get a response and 2. Depending on the level of rudeness you will be warned by a Moderator and possibly banned.

    Let's all be kind to each other please.

    Well, i have the z9x, running samba on it, Using it daily with iptv, and have a synology for the mostly 4K DV tv and Film supply. 99 % it is working without a glitch, sometimes i just clear the memory with the clean up app on the main screen.
    Yes, i have to select my subs by hand ( got used to that ) and sometimes it messes up the series folders/files in the main HT screen.

    But the actual streaming to a OLED LG C2 42 is working like a charm. Sometimes one has wonky rips, and sometimes these garbles HDR, but again, that is 99% the issue of the rips i noticed.

    Also, i do a hard as in power off with the switch every month or so. Mostly when some browser ( FF) input is freezing.

    Another thing, i also factory reset it after lets say 3 FW updates. Just backup up your HT, fact reset, and reload HT. theoretically one should do a fac reset after every FW update..but i assume hardly anyone does that.

    Great product, perfect image, so happy camper here. ( and yes, the chinese covid mayhem was something else, very bad for any business )

    well I'm happy with mine (if I put the performance issues aside) only using Jellyfin and IPTV app, and it always turns off when I turn off the TV so it's always "fresh" when it boots up.

    Same here, freezes a couple of times a day. Maybe a roll back to an earlier firmware helps?

    I believe that latest released beta firmware is stable for the vast majority... so I don't think a rollback to earlier firmware should be necessary.. but with your symptoms I think I would really bite the bullet and do a factory reset. From what I have read that really can fix wonky issues like yours... curious though about your freezing.. what type of files are you playing when this happens? Any thought to it being a bad rip of some sort?

    I always do a factory reset after each firmware update.
    Thought my exernal hdd was dying but after reading multiple same issues, I think it might be a firmware issue.
    When playing 4k Full UHD and MKV Web-DL rips sometimes the picture gets dark and loading circle spins. I have to close the movie/player and restart the movie, but same happend again after a while.

    I will try an earlier firmware.

    On notes of trolling, I've been told here a few times that I was also trolling while looking for serious help and I never knocked on Zidoo or anyone but people were too busy helping others and not me it seemed like cuz I was a newbie asking noob questions I suppose. But as they saw I was contributing to/helping others as I learned they came around to help me also. They must've seen I was asking important questions and was here to stay. So this group can def. take some time to warm up to but then you also see the continuous dedication from good folks like Mike and NiceMonkey and others and well you get humble overtime. Not sure what point I'm trying to make but can say just simply bashing the device or mfg. won't get you anywhere and if that's all you are doing without asking serious questions, well then you are simply trolling.
