    Thanks.

I reset my zidoo with flash .52 https://www.zidoo.tv/Support/suppor...Leq7k9e[ld]3ulg==/guide_faq/raXr0bxKWKM=.html
I put .75 in USB storage and update it manually.
Now Z9X Pro read all my HDD.

I don't test .85 because probably is the same rom of .86

This issue is very frustrating, I have several dropouts while watching any movie or concert...

In my unit is more frequent with Dolby codecs.

So far any response from Zidoo Support Team.

I updated to 1.0.86g last night and now I am back to the problem I had when I first got the z20 pro in that I can no longer load files across my PC network. It took a firmware update last time!! Is there a way to downgrade to the previous version that worked? Big mistake if it working don't try to fix it :(

Think I will stay with 1.0.85 on my UHD5000. I use split HDMI and do not have audio dropouts.

I do have a AV Access 4KSP12-S inline with the HDMI Video and the UHD5000 will re-sync from time to time. My Zappiti Neo (sold) did the same. No other source device has this problem with the 4KSP12-S.

You can flash back to v1.0.52 using the emergency procedure then flash up to whatever version you want using the normal method.

    File here:
    http://apidl.zidoo.tv/1619B/Z20-PRO_11_v1.0.52_202307201656_usb-install.img

Follow these instructions to the letter:

    1. Copy file to empty FAT32 USB stick

    2. Rename file to "install.img"

    3. Turn off player using switch on back

    4. Plug USB stick into USB 3.0 Port (a blue one)

    5. Press and hold reset button with something pointy while applying power

    6. Wait for on screen confirmation then release reset button.

**Do not turn off during this procedure**

But you're probably using the network name instead of the IP address to connect to the box and the network name changed in this update for some unknown reason (ZD_SAMBA to OS_SAMBA I think...)

I'd just connect to the IP address (as long as it's static) - a lot easier. Or change the network name back. Either way, it's probably better fixed in the PC rather than flashing the Zidoo.

I have no any problem with my UHD5000 related to the sound quality, including dropouts. I have the main HDMI connected to the TV and the secondary HDMI connected to Samsung 7.1.4 soundbar.
I installed the latest firmware, 1.0.86.

I'm getting more and more annoyed that I can only watch UHD movies with stuttering / frame drops. Absolutely not fluid and totally ruins my enjoyment of the movie.
I'm now on the verge of selling the Zidoo Z20 Pro and getting the Dune HD Solo 8k.
How long will it take until this is finally fixed?

You will need to provide more details of your issues as many of us we have zero issues with UHD titles. I think there is an issue recently identified with some VC-1 encoded files which has been reported to Zidoo. Apart from that current firmware is pretty solid in my experience.

I have this issue since I got the Z20 Pro with firmware 1.0.52. Then updated to 1.0.7x still got the issue with stuttering and framedrops, but more stuttering like the processing performance is too weak. After 1.0.86 released I was excited that this issue will be gone but no - still there. So annoying...

    More info needed
    ie
Playing files direct from usb HDD ..internal hdd ... smb to pc/hdd or network storage ?

Using wired cat 6 + lan or wifi ?

very very few ppl are seeing this issue now and the few that have its usually been something like a cat 3 cable in the wired network or issues from the NAS

Also check your cables. A dodgy HDMI cable could cause issues. You say the issue is with UHD - so does that mean HD titles are OK? If so does sound like some sort of throughput issue in the chain somewhere

My Z2600 also has sound dropouts. My main hdmi is directly connected to my Samsung TV and the secondary hdmi (audio) is connected to my Onkyo receiver.

Definitely not a known issue and never has been.

Assume you have match frame rate on?

If so this is an environment or file problem.

Do the Poster Wall DB backup first... also Export NFOs and JPGs. So in the worst case scenario the scrapper can re-use that info.
