Auto-Reso doesn't work beneath 1080p

Hello,

can anybody help me? I bought the new Z9S with latest official firmware installed (.61)

I can't force the player to automatically switch resolution beneath 1080p - if i start a video in 720p it will always jump and upscale to 1080p.

Is this a bug and will be fixed or do i do something wrong?

Works as designed. Only meant for 1080P/4K switching.

 

Ok thank you for the fast reply. Although i have to say that i assosiate something different when Auto-Resolution is advertised. That means that 720p material is scaled automatically to 2160p, would it not be better if these files were scaled to just 1080p? The PQ ja horrible when i let the Player do the upscaling

 

What I do myself is put Zidoo output at 1080P23 which will be correct for most movies directly. Auto Resolution is set to on for 4K movies. It will then upscale SD material to 1080P only. Works fine for me.
