Time has passed and tech changes and so do prices
The Dune is much dearer but with new 2018 tweaks added to it and software revamp .

We can hope for Android 7.1 also hopefully and a few more firmware updates also and fixes .

Its early days for the Dune which will have bugs etc
    But competition is good .

Well we either stay on 6.1 and the competition moves along and takes more sales as such
Or we get an upgrade jump to keep up and hence go from mobile android to Android tv which will open up oppotunities.
For the next things coming HDR + ?

More stable and open us out to proper apps amongs many other fixes etc
    .

Those next things all are based on HDMI 2.1 for transport/bandwidth and as such requires new HW chip-sets/platforms.

Yes but i think there is still some place where devs can make some improvement.

Hearing HDR10 + will be added via update to some 2017 tv and 2016 models and Amazon looking in to having it to .

So by the looks of it does not req HDMI 2.1

HDR10+ doesn't require HDMI 2.1. It's dynamic HDR much like Dolby Vision (just not as high theoretical specs). That being said i haven't seen any HDR10+ content and haven't seen it adopted as a standard. Will the dynamic HDR metadata be made available in MKVs. Right now i have yet to see a torrented movie contain any Dolby Vision data.

    - No HDR10+ itself does not require HDMI 2.1 but top quality UHD with HDR+ does (bandwidth).
    - HDR10+ is regarded superior to DV from what I read. HDR10 is inferior to DV because not being dynamic.
    - Netflix uses DV for their UHD transmissions. Seen it working on LG OLED TV's. Not much UHD content there though and bandwidth limits PQ anyway. I have also some UHD/4K Blu Rays with 4K/HDR video plus 1080P/DV on them.

It will all come with the next generation equipment. If it will be used on UHD Blu Ray? The future seems to be streaming (only)?

Its coming on HD blu ray titles soon and on 4k blu ray players as well amongst of course tv .
Some can update to have it some may not .
Will have to wait and see .
Oppo may get it but unclear as its winding down now but still being supported with updates etc .
