So the native Eversolo app is not fully compatible with the Amazon API. Stick with the Amazon app... is it that bad/unusable?
Do you see metadata in Amazon music? Flac, opus codec? That's new for me. I have Amazon original and in a6, pc and phone. Never saw metadata. Neither in Tidal or Qobuz.
Do not mistake stream characteristics (stream container, like FLAC, or samplerate, such as 48KHz) with metadata (artist, album, etc.)
adding chromecast would fix that issue, choose song on your tablet using the Amazon ap and chromecast to the A-6.
FYI: As Amazon streaming is 90% of what I use the A6 for, I emailed Eki on the help desk about the lack of the Ultra stream on native and loss of functionality on the Amazon Ap via Cast. As suspected, they’re aware of the issues and are ‘on the case’. As an aside, I’d strongly recommend that anyone with a genuine problem, that they can’t sort out on the Forum, contact the help desk directly. I’ve found them terrifically helpful and they normally come back within 24-hours.
"The metadata shows flac for a brief second but then changes to opus codec.". This is what I replied to.
That's not the metadata, that's the stream information. So, I'll write it for you: "The stream information shows FLAC for a brief second but then changes to OPUS codec."
I don’t feel comfortable giving out individual employee email addresses, but I started with service@zidoo.tv
Native Amazon music integration has a parsing policy issue during playback, which will be fixed in the next version. Should be within a few days.
Amazon provides many streams of the same track with different qualities, and wrong parsing strategies lead to selecting an unexpected stream in some cases.
Thanks for the feedback. Are the other bugs also fixed? Gapless playback doesn't work. Sometimes a second is missing at the beginning of a song.
