During the development of our hybrid queue, we realized we might encounter the most complex user experience task in this field, which has never been seen before. Because the A6 needs to handle various inputs and outputs, supporting third-party apps, and not all integrated services can utilize it (depending on different API characteristics), so there's a certain learning curve associated with this feature. The experience and presentation related to the Hybrid Queue functionality built into this version are the result of over a dozen modifications internally. This is the best we can achieve. Currently supported services include:Local Track/TIDAL/Qobuz/HIGHRESAUDIO/Deezer/Netease. When a third-party app is playing or the output source is not from the internal player, the playback queue remains inactive. Pressing "PLAY NEXT" often confuses users because it appears to do nothing visibly, you can't see the current playback queue. Therefore, we added the option "PLAY NOW." Unlike other players, this option doesn't replace the current queue but simply adds the current track to the top of the queue and starts playing immediately. We will also include a PLAY Queue Button located in the bottom right corner of the Control App.

The EQ function is only available when the input source is the internal player and is effective only for stereo PCM with a sampling rate lower than 192 kHz. All stereo audio with a sampling rate higher than 192 kHz or all multi-channel or DSD audio will bypass output. Of course, as some of you may want, a global bypass will also be an option. As we sincerely hope to offer users with more choices, so instead of a simple global EQ function, we configured different curves for different output setups using profile settings. This inevitably brings some learning costs. But I believe you'll figure it out quickly. Currently, it features a 15-band GEQ and a 10-band PEQ (Freq/GAIN/Q) that can be customized. While we've tested its stability, there might be a reduction in the number of bands in the final version to lighten the CPU load. This is why this version is labeled as Alpha.

I'm sorry to come in, but there is a changelog for this ALPHA release in the very first post.
What's written there is what this release will attempt to do.
No other fancy additions... right? Or, if you like, just give it a try; if it works, all fine, if not, just wait.

Can it be tested with IOS App v1.076? I have no way to push app to update

Most probably after this ALPHA has been checked further by the devs, tried by several users confirming it works, and appears to be stable. In other words, after the usual software deployment cycle.

I would happily be an alpha tester. I can download the firmware, but I cannot update the IOS app

The firmware is all you need to test it (it is meant to work as describet ONBOARD the A6 first).
Downloading the app will only allow you to ALSO test the app in relation (or not) with the ALPHA release.
    P.S.
    why cannot you update it?

you are right. I can test it from the device itself, without the app. I hope there is no issues with volume control that blows my speakers

As a rule of thumb, your active speakers / power amp should be the LAST thing you power on.
Start the Eversolo, check the volume setting, and if you are satisfied with it, power up the amp / actives; if not, lower the volume to your like, then again proceed.

What a treat it was to wake up to this! So chuffed with the native LMS support. The integration with the device is really slick and aesthetically pleasing. Will test syncing and other features in more depth over the weekend but just enjoying listening at the moment. Truly impressed with the development for this device. Above and beyond. Thank you!!!

Is the newly introduced EQ (GEQ / PEQ) function derived from what already available in the DMP-A8? ... or just a simplified version of it?

Well done on the new alpha firmware and changes to the Android control app. The app now has a better choice of fonts and icon sizes, seems a clearer presentation overall. Also like that you get an enlarged album art on the Now Playing screen if you tap on the art. As regards the EQ, quite a lot to play with. Really like that the EQ applies to both digital and analog outputs and that you can customise profiles for these. This I think is better than the A8, where the manual states the effects of any DSP can only be heard through the analog outputs. I assume that the EQ is performing downsampling to 48 kHz just like the A8 but if so is then adjusting back to whatever the input sampling rate is, some clarity on this would be good. In the PEQ, the amplitude/gain field seems to grey out if you choose anything other than BPF as filter type, I assume this is by design. Really quite impressed.

Is it confirmed that PEQ resamples everything to 48khz? It would not be a surprise: DIRAC and Audyssey do it (YPAO and ARC do not)

Will there be an Alpha version with these functionalities for the A8 as well?

Don’t see anything posted over there yet.

I have been trying EQ for 30 mins. It works GREAT, I am not seeing any bug. Just a doubt:

For each “Config” I can select GEQ, PEQ or … both? Is the last one correct? is it applying both EQ simultaneously? I think it should allow only one
