Heck...this way even fixed my Zack Snyder's Justice League poster that never was showing a tag before. Now it shows correctly a 4K tag!!! You just have to follow the above steps to the letter and this will make any poster tags appear.

You asked that question at exactly the right time!

Zidoo just released firmware that fixes this issue - basically allowing VS10 to output SDR and HDR at the correct HDMI level.

This should now work just fine with your Pioneer plasma.

    How good is that?? :)

    Thank you very much Mark!
I noticed that now it is not necessary to set 0-255. I do AUTO, it works well! But there is a small bug, when forcibly switching the AFR (sometimes it is necessary, not always), then the black becomes, as it was before, highlighted, gray. But it will pass after exiting the playback and start again. You can live with it.
Thanks again! I hope the work with the engine to improve it will continue.
    All the best!

Set HDMI Level to 16-235 and that should fix it.

    OK!
But it also works in AUTO. Very rarely, black crumbles when I manually turn on the AFR, and this happens very rarely. I'm happy with everything. Thanks.

Just leave AFR switched on as in the above settings - there's no reason to switch it off.

Although Auto works, 16-235 is the correct setting and there may be situations where Auto sets incorrectly.

Applied to update to my Z10 Pro and the player hung/crash during playback of ISO of The Guest (2014) 4K UK release. The playback hung when changing from medium level bitrate (~ 50mbps) to high bitrate when things change a lot in the screen. Like the player ran out of memory or something. Will convert the ISO to MKV and then report back.

    Dear Mark,
Why you recommended setting for Display HDMI Mode: 1080p 23hz? the most hollywood movies use frame rate 23.976 Hz. It shoud be setting HDMI Mode set to 1080p 24Hz, is it correct ?

P23 is 23.976 and P24 is 24.000 unfortunately not all brands use it like that. Many don't know P23 and use P24 instead not supporting 24.000 at all then.

    1080p 23Hz is shorthand for "1080p 23.976fps" - it's often written as 1080p23 or 2K23.

I haven't used it for almost 2 months, always preferred zdmc, but I also think it feels faster than before.
I am definitely very satisfied with Home theater now. Everything works great, when you use tiny media manager and the setting "nfo parse = priority" for tv series.
