My Z9X still cannot receive this update through OTA. I had clicked including beta version.

I think it's dumb to give it the same release number cause then people that updated before it was pulled can't get the OTA update like me. It can't tell that there is an update

Has it been re-released for OTA update?
I just checked, from 6.3.22G, nothing to update to… (beta is checked)

Sorry but tell me what happened with this firmware, I manually put the 6.3.35 manually the day before yesterday because as soon as I got the z9x there was version 6.0.90 on board and therefore I did not have the option to install the beta .... it seems to me that everything works, what's wrong? Is it possible that I just arrived and I already have a buggy firmware?
    Thanks

Nothing drastic - it was just a tweak to HT4.

When the v6.3.35 OTA firmware was released a couple of days ago it contained HT v4.0.90 which had a fix to enable adding Collections to Custom Categories.

However this added another bug to do with collections which I passed to the devs. They then pulled the firmware from the update server.

This bug was fixed and I received a new version of HT (v4.0.95) in the early hours to test. This fixed that bug (although there is another smaller fix still required) and this new version of HT (v4.0.95) was added to the firmware and redeployed on the update server but the firmware version was not incremented, hence the confusion.

There is also a question about Roon enablement but I suspect that's an issue with propagation on the Roon servers but I'm really not sure on that one as I don't have a Roon account.

    New guy here...
Just downloaded the Z9X P V6.3.35_G_202 ZIP FILE. its 739Mb
Do I need to unzip it at all? etc. or just put the Zip file as it is on the USB stick and then use the firmware update tool on the Z9X???

Why do you ask, when in previous posts you allready had updated your box......i don't know if you can put the _G update over an existing FW with the same version number.

Try at your own risk, and ask @Markswift2003

    TifKag,
When I set up my box for the first time, I checked the "Update " app on the unit and used the factory update to load the regular v6.3.35 FW, which was the only one available . I was assuming that the _G FW version was available through the app and it wasnt. Thats why I asked about where to find and properly load the _G version. There are some apps I would like to load via the Play store.

So are you saying that since I already have the v6.3.35 FW I CAN'T load the V6.3.35_G FW on top????
Do I have to wait until a new _G version is available?
    Thanks

    I didn't say you can't, i said i am not sure, and you should ask @Markswift2003 .

And that it is all at your own risk.

over 30 FW versions within 1 year. I do not know whether there is another device that has received so many FW, a media player certainly not. Zidoo can register that by Guinnes book :)
