  2. I could not copy any more files over samba to the Eversolo. The SSD reportet 1.3 gig used. two days later it shows 530 gig avail, from 1907 GB. Is there any cleaning script in the background? It is NTFS.

    Hi

I just got my A6 today.

I'm not very technical, so I was wondering if this SSD would be suitable for installing my A6.

Can anybody comment on whether or not moving files to local ssd (versus NAS) improves cover art caching speed when scrolling through music in app?

Came back to answer my own question in case anybody searches. Cover art is a bit snappier on the A6 itself and while in "Cast", but the iPhone app by itself is still a little slugglish loading cover art. Would be great if they could improve this within the software somehow. Added a Western Digital Black SN770 2TB.

I find the display loads the cover art quickly on the DMP-A6. The one issue is the cover art not showing on my iPhone 13. At times it will only show a generic screen with no cover art or album information. It usually happens when starting a new album. If I use the play, pause or track buttons those work for the album playing though.

This is the only issue I currently have with the DMP-A6. Not a major issue but it would be nice if it was corrected with a FW update.

I'm using a Crucial internal 4TB SSD and so far no issues.

Why do you address a FW update when the problem is on your phone? Maybe you meant an app update...

I installed the 4TB version of this SSD and formatted it in the DMP-A6 to NTFS. No problems so far. Currently running V1.2.64 firmware.

I'm using the same SSD and it's been working just fine.

That’s my SSD card, except I’m using the 2 TB version.

    No issues at all.

    Today I installed Lexar NM620 1TB SSD disk M.2 2280, M.2 (PCIe 3.0 4x NVMe), 3D
    NAND
. I formatted it in the streamer to NTFS and named it Lexar 1TB. Everything went smoothly without any issues.

Eversolo really could do with having 3.5" SATA internal bay for the larger A8. I really can't the point of a 1TB internal drive, NVME. Speed isn't needed but capacity is.

You can install 4TB SSD, that's more than enough space for most people. I have locally only my hand-picked the best of the best of my favorite songs (FLAC). They all need about 200GB, so for me even that 1TB SSD is an overkill.

I would need at least 8TB, plus more for future expansion.

4TB isn't enough, plus high cost of NVME..

I understand you can use external USB HDD with the Eversolo but that's going through USB chipset, I never trust USB for data integrity, so internal SATA drive is more trusted.

A8 probably has space for 3.5" HDD bay?

Chose this one (Fikwot FN960 4TB):
    https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0CJ4JJJQH?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

My collection is around 1.6TB, so 2TB seemed critical to me. As the Crucial 4 TB price had just increased significantly, i chose the Fikwot.
Immediately accepted by A8, chose default formatting (i.e. not NTFS) and copied the complete collection in a single turn via A8 USB3 data port ... took some time ...

Up to now no complaints. A8 operates fast on collection.
BTW, by default, the SSD slot is too small for Fikwot heat sink installation (not necessary imho).

It depends on the audio formats you have stored. I've got a 4TB SSD installed that contains a bit over 33,000 tracks and I'm almost out of capacity and I still haven't got all my music ripped.
