Removed my 4 TByte SSD from the inside to an External USB3 housing. These are really small.
Easier to move around and above all making backups which now is as fast as the target drive supports connecting it to my PC.

Also the NTFS filesystem on W10/W11 is a lot more robust which is relevant for making backups. Android made NTFS just working ignoring a lot of features.

1-во, по-добре цяло на английски да пишеш.
2-ро: yes, there are guys that successfully ripped SACDs, just get the proper audio-ripper (I may suggest "abcde" for Linux, under Windows I cannot say a word, sorry).
I think you can also rip SACDs as a whole ISO file, and then play it as if it were a physical media, which, IMO, is excellent.

1-st its some issue with auto translator ;-)
2-nd thank you for the info but its not clear for me: is it possible to ripp SACD on A6? I dont ask is it possible at all, of course it is.
    Thank you in advance!

    Very short answer: NO.
It is neither possible to play a real disc.

The A6 web page says something different for the CD's ripping: " allow CD playback and ripping app; losslessly rip tracks " and etc.

We're not talking about ordinary CDs here, but SACD instead, which is a totally different format; and as @Nice Monkey said, the A^is neither able to play those, nor to rip them.

Hello all, just got my A6 and had no joy with my SSD drives, I had a 1TB Western digital Gen 3 black and an older Intel 2TB ssd, but the A6 won’t see them when Installed. Tried all the tricks to no avail, but with a USB enclosure they work fine, even formatted the WD with the A6, but when installed it not there. I called the company I ordered it from and he just said get a Samsung drive. So I picked up a 2 TB Samsung 980 Pro my local BestBuy had in stock and sure enough it works just fine.

I upgraded my A6 to firmware 1.1.80 and I inserted a 2TB Kingston SSD. After formatting it inside A6, it worked very well...No issues.

That's strange since the WD drives usually have a quite good compatibility level. Green and Blue lineups also have low energy draw and heat dissipation, maybe it's a case with the black series. Which firmware was the A6 running during the tests?

I upgraded it to V1.1.80 before I tried adding the SSD. It was not the current 4x version, it was a couple year old 3x. I removed it from my HP laptop when I upgraded to a 2 TB. I also had a 2 TB Intel lower end drive (Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 2TB PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 3D2, QLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDPEKNW020T8X1) I use in a USB enclosure adapter for backups. When the WD didn’t work I tried it, but also didn’t work so I was thinking something was wrong with my A6. I put them in the usb enclosure and plugged it into the upper USB port and they worked, just not when installed. I wiped them on the computer using disk part clean and then tried it -no go. Tried formatting NTFS, then exfat with both partition types but it never saw them. Then I formatted it with the A6 while in the USB adapter and then swapped it in, no go. I was thinking it was defective, but went and bought the Pro 980, only because it was only $10 more than then the 970 Evo and is a more durable drive and much faster if I ever use it elsewhere. I also have a SABRENT 2TB Rocket I might want to swap it with to see if that drive works, but backing it up would take way too long.

I did use a thermal pad I have that is extra thick and makes contact between the drive and aluminum cover to help the 980 Pro stay cool. It’s working flawlessly.

Can't see point of NVME drive- 4TB is too small, why not 2.5" SATA, then use laptop HD? What's the biggest 2.5" spinning platter HD?

If this had 2.5" bay I could use it for a server/ripper/multi room (as I understand other UPNP devices can connect to Eversolo?)

For music storage, 4 TB is a lot for most people - over 8000 full CD’s and they are almost never full, so easily 10,000 CDs at full uncompressed size. You can also add USB storage, network storage, etc.
This is not a movie server, so I’d have to disagree about it being too small. Put up a server if you need more. This is a less than $900 streamer/DAC/Preamp with a lot of features that don’t include a storage drive array.

I purchased a Crucial 4TB P3 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD for my DMP-A6 and it works perfectly. :) However I've already managed to almost fill the drive with just 250GB free space remaining.
BTW, there's no advantage of going to a faster later generation of SSD in the A6. Even the slowest M.2 NVMe SSD is going to be overkill in this application.

I am using a 2TB WD Black SN770 without any issue. I am on FW 1.1.80.

I purchased a used, 500GB SSD (easily enough storage for me) from CeX in the UK for £25 (including 1-year warranty). It works perfectly.

    Item: Samsung PM9A1 MZ-V8V500 500GB SSD PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe M.2 2280

If it had 3.5" interal drive bay I'd have bought this eversolo, without question. There's enough space, or make it full width, with silicon isolation pads/passive heatinsk cooling etc.
