Is there any way to add your Plex Watch list to this app? I'm assuming not as I've poked around, but worth asking...

if going from a working z9x setup, to a z9x 8k, can I just export and import the config in PlexToZidoo after installing the apps ?? drives are on a nas.. everything else staying the same...

Sorry I didn't respond earlier but I was on vacation last week. The Plex Watch list is on the main developers list of items. He is hoping it will be in the next version but no timetable on when that will be.

Yes, that should be all you need to do. But I don't own a z9x 8k so I can't say I've actually tested it.

Well that is about the best response I could hope for. Thanks for the info. Hopefully they can make it work.

I haven't used my zidoo in a a little while, but I swore that I was able to skip opening and skip credits with a button. Am I wrong? I know I checked and you can do it automatically but I don't want to do that automatically, I'd prefer to push the button to skip.

I appreciate any and all help.

Nope, the only option is the automatic skipping of intro/credits. Once PlexToZidoo hands control off to the Zidoo player it can't pop up windows or anything because the Zidoo player is in full control. All it can do is tell the Zidoo player to fast forward past the intro/credits.

The only way that I know to do that is to insert chapter points into a MKV file at the end of the intro titles and again before the closing credits. So a bit of preliminary work with a chapter editor app.

Yeah, that's what I ended up doing. It was mainly for the Anime, to skip the Opening and Ending videos. Thanks...

Got my z9x 8k yesterday... Export and import worked perfect... super easy and painless..
On my z9x I had a old full version of plex, that let me select a external player, as well as select version of video to play..
Tried that on the 8k, and couldn't get it into mobile mode , to enable the external player.. shoot... I used that probably the most on my z9x..

I have installed the Plex client on the Z9X 8K via APK and the frame rate does not switch automatically :( What about the version from the Google Play Store (G firmware)? Does the Play Store version include a frame rate switch function?
I don't want to use the built-in Plex version as it doesn't have all the features and zhe UI looks terrible.

You can install ZidooPlexMod in ZDMC and the internal Zidoo player will be used as playback and do the frame rate switching and audio passthrough.
The Z9X 8K and Zidoo boxes in general are not made to use Android TV apps, they won't work good on this.
If you really want to use the official Plex app you should get the Nvidia Shield that's the best box to use the official Plex app in Android TV. But this ZidooPlexMod is just as good on the Z9X 8K, it just has a different look.
