This app update includes the following improvements:

5. A more prominent global search feature now resides permanently in the bottom dock bar for one-tap access.

6. Functional entry points have been simplified for clearer visibility and navigation.



7. The homepage now displays device playlists and recently played content for quick access.

8. Dedicated shortcuts for streaming services have been added to the homepage.

9. The Music Library has been optimized and upgraded for improved performance.



10. Users can switch between classic and new theme styles with a single tap.

11. Playback information from multiple devices can be displayed simultaneously.

Will this replace the current app?

I hope that it will also be optimized for landscape tablet use. I have a thread of features I would like to see added (a couple you have already) but my main requests would be for larger album art on the playlist page, the ability to add custom art for the Genre icons and we need album dates/genre to be displayed on the playlist screen.

Also, any improvement to library scanning would be good. It's very slow at the moment and with some tag changes it doesn't show unless you remove the folder and re-add it.

 

Yes it will replace current app, has on my Samsung phone.

Where do I find the shutdown function in the app. I can't find it. I have to go to the player and use the function on the device display.

What's new exactly in the v1.4.60 ? are there new features or just a compatibility fix with the upcoming Eversolo control app ?

I've been using the beta version for a while, and the updated mobile interface looks great. However, I’m unsure if the tablet version will follow suit with this design? Additionally, after the update, the divider lines in the left-hand menu on the tablet look rather unattractive—I hope they can be removed.
There’s also a long-standing bug I’d like to emphasize again, which I’ve previously reported via email. Unfortunately, this issue still hasn’t been fixed in the current beta version. My local music library contains a very large number of albums (2,000+), about half of which are in Japanese. Every time I try to browse related albums, I have to manually scroll all the way to the bottom.
Specifically, when sorting albums by "A-Z" and using the sidebar alphabetical navigation to jump to later letters (e.g., "S"), the app fails to load subsequent albums properly. Similarly, selecting the "#" symbol only displays the initial portion of albums—the rest cannot be refreshed or loaded. Currently, the only way to refresh the content is to scroll manually from the top, which severely impacts browsing efficiency.

我本地音乐库的专辑非常多(2000+)并且日文有占一半，每次我都得手动滑到最下面才能浏览相关专辑
就是在专辑界面选择"A-Z名称排序"后，使用右侧字母导航跳转至靠后字母区域（如S）时，app无法正常加载后续的专辑列表
并且选#也是只能显示前面部分专辑 后面的都不能正常刷新加载出来
当前只能从最开始手动滚动才能正常刷新内容 严重影响浏览效率

I think I prefer the old style app myself. Lots of wasted space for me on the new one. I don’t do playlists so have a great big + all the time I can’t remove. Looks more like Heos app which isn’t a good move if you ask me.

 

How do we report bugs, here in the forum or using the Testflight app on iOS?

 

Can there be an option to hide stuff as I will never use the playlist section?

 

Technically, iPad/Tablet are mobile devices as well. Just different screen formats.
