Hi, I'm afraid I've permanently broken my zidoo z9x: I has doing flash restore because it had a problem since the last time I used zdmc (when I turned it back on it always remained in active dolby vision mode and, if I tried to move between the settings , the screen went black). I tried to flash it, but since it remained fixed at 78% for about half an hour, so I finally turned it off, and now I fear it's unusable: the video signal doesn't reach the TV/monitor, if I turn on the power only the red standby signal remains, if I try to flash again the message “UP” appears, but then it does nothing and no other messages appear. I'm afraid it's unusable now... any ideas how to recover it?
Have you tried a new USB stick - use as small as possible and of course format to FAT32. It's a few years since I had to recover a Z9X, but this guy really helped me out at the time: https://jjmgit.my.to/nas/2021/03/01/rtd1619-unbrick.en.html
thanks..is it possible to try with a normal pc and TTL/UART cable connected with pc/zidoo? do you think this could work https://www.amazon.it/DAOKAI-Conver...99243&sprefix=uart+to+ttl+usb,aps,93&sr=8-10?
Yes, that would work - I used a PC running Putty. As I say, I'd try with a new, small (say 2GB), FAT32 USB stick first.
