ZIDOO Z1000 black screen after startup. Purchased 3 days ago.

  1. • From day one, my ZIDOO Z1000 restarted while watching a movie. Probably due to high temperatures, as with FAN 100% restart was rare.

    • After performing the Update to version v2.3.32 from here : https://www.zidoo.tv/Support/downloadList/target/WHvkmmOxFORKKmVViAFMcQ==.html
    ZIDOO started in an endless loop HELLO → BOOT.

    So I reset the help (The flash was 100%.) :

    • The loop disappeared, but now after launching only HELOO, ZIDOO are displayed on the TV and then I only have a black screen. Neither the remote control nor the POWER button responds.

    Is there a solution, or the device broke down in just three days?

    • I don't know what I could add.
    • I did not install any application (I did not have the time or the opportunity), I used the device for less than 8 hours. I played the movies via HT.

    In the install.log file I see that there is an error at the end "iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile":

  2. I requested AMAZON to return the device. I like ZIDOO, but this is the second BOX that has stopped working, I would rather not buy other devices from ZIDOO even though I like ZIDOO and I like the overall solution of the OS. But the device for almost $ 400 should not stop working in 3 days.


    SOLVED "return to the seller as defective"
    (I ordered Dune 4K HD II. For a half price, 2x more power and supported formats. Perhaps less problematic.)

    Just thank you especially "Nice Monkey" for all his advice during my use of the ZIDOO Z9S.

    latest news on the Dune is hearing Audio issues ......
    Why did you just get it replaced for another unit ?

    I am sure those Dune issues will be solved but agree this problem should have been solvable too. An emergency factory ROM restore would have done the trick most likely. Done in 10 minutes.

    Agree a lot of so called issues are solvable and can be other things associated with unit at times .
    Dune Audio issue has been resolved via update ;)
