unfortunately no, teamviewer is not working properly, it cannot connect to x6, as I said, my presumption is that this fault is due to the missing screen.. as we know, teamviewer depends on screen resolution and is a display-cloning software, so I think unless zidoo people figure out how to put a dummy driver calling for some HD/XGA resolution, there is nothing to do..
Yeah, I ended up having to root the device and install AirDroid 3 on both the device and my PC, it actually works pretty well so I can't complain. Time will tell. Thank you for your reply.
Another request for developers - please enable backup function in zdmc (backup program from kodi official repo), in this moment is not working and a lot of people are using more than one device, it's not normal to don't be able to replicate the settings from a system to another. cc @spring
Hi: we add unroot button in the onkeyroot app, and you can unroot your device with it. http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/upgrade-onekeyroot-to-v1-0-8-add-remove-root-fuction.1648/
Hi spring (and ZTeam). You are doing a great job supporting also these features (root/unroot, HDMI deception ....). And this is one of the key point for Zidoo HW versus competitors. Now, we are waiting for a great and stable FW upgrade, fixing mostly (all ?!)of issues reported on forum. And please, don't forget the special characters (greek, italian, french, spanish, german .....) support on external subs on Zidoo Theater !!!! Thanks
What 's happen at Onekeyroot app v. 1.0.8? Was available for s short time and the thread is not available anymore.

after 3 months of testing various possible functions of zidoo's x6, I decided to stop trying. it's just a player and a decent platform for kodi and that's it. not even sure if it can last long if it would work around the clock 7/7.. as for the other issues, such as DLNA server, torrent box and so on, I strongly suggest to everybody to get a capable NAS device and you will be happy (as I am now, with my new WD cloud ex2: transmission, plex server, simple dlna server, ftp, cloud, backup, you name it). so, this is my final opinion: don't ask too much from x6, use it as a player and you will be fine.
I agree with you, but the only exception of ZDMC, Zidoo Theater/Native Player bugs that have to be fixed (yet). I understand that this box (like other) can be "perceived" as a PC, but there are still too many issues to be addressed and many of them are related to Android (Google) and poor support provided by manufactorers (RK and so on). About NAS, I don't want to "scare" you, but I think that you (and myself ... yes, I have the WD EX2 too ) did a "not perfect choiche". The WD EX2 is a perfect example that a poor support (from WD) can kill a decent HW; very "low profile" firmware updates, no update at all of external APPS (i.e., transmission is not updated from WD since years) .... QNAP or Synology are the top, no way. But, again, Zidoo is a good example in "multimedia boxes" scenario. They well support (or, at least, try to) their boxes, like QNAP or Synology for NASes. There are a plenty of Android boxes with a very low support (or nothing at all). For example, I'm keeping eyes on another new Android box (Q10Pro) that, from hardware point of view, is (or should be) far better then X6. But if you check on their forum there are a dozens of people hungry with manufactorer for bugs and low support. How can it be ? Too much (again) high expectations, but with lower support than here ? And this makes difference !
well, I am a reasonable guy, if they won't fix the buggy issues in a reasonable period of time I'll seel it for sure, while I have tablets running smoothly official kodi and can supercast to TV at any time.. actually, at a second thought, x6 seems to be an useless investment after all.. sorry to say it. re WD updates - if they are working smoothly I don't mind having an older but stable version. the transmission version in zidoo naskit wasn't exactly the last one, you know. zidoo's story seems to be a good example for what the lack of standardization means and how difficult to maintain an open source based operating system could be.. figure microsoft with thousands of specialists running around the clock to keep windows working, while for zidoo are working a couple of people, facing complains of tens of kinds of issues and various uses. as may users, as many habits. they will never be able to satisfy everyone. they patch this, and it starts pouring over there. never ending story.
