ZIDOO Home Theater and auto download subtitles in native player release

I use zidoo remote press right arrow, new windows at right. When selecting workgroup new windows at right, with right arrow select new window at right and so on.

Theater app. Device/add device+/workgroup(not custom you should see your workgroup) when selecting your workgroup with up-down a new windows at right with the name of device in your workgroup use right on your remote select your device and at right you should see your nas filetree and so on.

 

i do not have "workgroup" i only have "custom" - and an "L" somewhere?!?!?

 

grummel2005, do you share your file through a NAS as Sarco, or in another way?
I suspect that Sarco NAS has a different (more standard) SMB protocols support. Samba is not always developed the same way by different NAS vendors.
May be X6 Theater listen to workgroup name announce that Sarco NAS transmit and yours not?
Or a X6 Theater protolo handling problem?
grummel2005, do you browse your SMB workgroup with a Android Filemanager like ES Explorer or Ghost Explorer with Samba plugin?
O with native explorer (that in mine X6 browse my workgroup correctly)?

 

please do not confuse some stuff - this problem is only in "theater":
i have e.g. an "WD my cloud" and other folders set free from my pcs
all other systems and devices find them
theater finds them too, but only if i put them "by hand" in "custom"

here i must put in my devices (WD my store ....) by hand too - but only in zidoo!!!
other devices (smartphone, tablet) find the workgroup

 

Hi guys, am I the only one who can't play any of the movie files? It scanned my shared folder and shows me the movies with description and all. But when I choose play I only get something like "Can not play this file".

As Spring suggest you should wait for update, since we can't put the path directly in address space it is not working for now. Some app have a default path to put when using custom setting.

Do you have space in your NAS name?

 

yes "WD MyCloud" it is preset
but other PCs in my network have not and are not shown as well

In network you should not use space (even in windows if you name your pc "grummel PC) windows automaticaly put - grummel-pc. Windows can use space but syntax in network between OS can be touchy. Linux did not accept space few year ago, Unix still do not accept space. Space for windows and other is only a symbol, in Unix it is brake chain letter.

I checked custom and it is not accepting letter only number... so next update will solve your problem I hope.

EDIT: it will accept letter if // is put first.

 

Try adding custom with this syntax;
//WDMyCloud/path/to/your/files/

ending / is needed.

 

WHEN WILL BE RELEASED FW VERSION 1.0.30 ? In quote all the Tech support post you say wai for this version, but our money we gave you while buying!

 

you are right - i have here 12 (!!!) zidoo x6 plus which want to be installed
as i said, i wait until monday next week, then zidoo is blacklisted here
a lot of german forums are complaining the response in the last two weeks
before this the answers and the help had been very good !!!! i have to say - so as it should be

i think the problem is, that all people are diskussing things which hopefully will be solved in the next firmware
but no one from zidoo is telling us anything about it

all supporters are asking questions to stay the people in the line

never heard about a such asian people behaviour

they should think waht thei are doing

this is their job they are loosing if we all send back our devices and bring the stuff to amazon commets and other shops and into all the forums

I agree also. Thinking also to sent it back. A lot people in several threads ask when 1.30 comes but each time it is ignord. So when does it come Spring???? What will be the changes???
