Hi all, i'm running ZDMC 20.2 on the Z9X Pro. v1.0.75_G Videos are located on my Windows 11 PC / SMB and ZDMC can access them. If i press "Play" on a video detail view, ZDMC does not disappear. The audio is playing but there is no video playing. Do i have to press a special button on the remote? If i change settings "Player" - "Videos" - "Play video with external player" to "On", nothing happens. No audio, no video. Just a small black text window appears "playing video" or something like that, that disappears too fast to read it. What i'm doing wrong?
You need to start ZDMC first, set it up, import your media-libraries and then then start the video from the Kodi/ZDMC library.
In my case the cause for not playing with external player was mounting my NAS with hostname. After changing to mount with IP address it worked after deleting the video database and a new scan.
Changing from hostname to IP also fixed this problem on the Z9x I just received and configured. Thanks for the post.
