Z9X WiFi performance

  1. Hey all,

In my current set up, my Z9X is not near any physical cabling, so I have to rely on WiFi.
I was wondering what everyone's experience with the WiFi performance has been? My device is connected to a Unifi AC Lite AP. It connects at about 600 Mbps, and 100% signal, but I still get lots of stuttering when playing back UHD rips (which peak at aboout 100Mbps).

I'm connecting to my NAS via NFS - so was wondering if anyone has any tips for improving WiFi before I start putting holes in bricks :)

Seen many variants of WiFi problems with UHD playback. Nothing beats a good Gigabit Ethernet cable. Occasionally a (very) long USB3 cable may be an alternative. :)

  3. Wanted to provide an update.
Though NFS gives me issues, playing back a UHD (with menus) over SMB worked totally fine (I used Dune to test). So does this talk to the Zidoo's poor handling of NFS, or some other factor at play?

My NAS is a Synology, btw ...
