Video would be a nice addition. I used to have this on my Zappiti. But there was an issue, it wasn't able to recognise HDR contents so they'd play all washed out. Also, the pictures on the screensaver are really low resolution, even when the UI is rendered in UHD. Maybe that's a way to use less memory but the result isn't very beautiful.
I would love to be able to use Aerial Dream from the Google Play Store as the screensaver. I have it on the Shield and its very nice. There is a way to just download all of the videos Apple is using for Aerial Dream though. Are there any plans to bring video screensavers to Zidoo? Im a new user and just picked up a Z9X. Just wondering
I downloaded the Aerial Dream APK and side-loaded in my Z10 Pro. Works fine. However, after a couple of hours the video can become stuck.
Oh Wow! Thanks for the tip! Might be a silly question, but do I need to be on the firmware version with the google play store to do this? I just got my Z9X and I have no idea.
This is the one I used - Aerial Dream for Android - APK Download (apkpure.com) No, you do not have to do it with the Play Store. Download it and then put it on a USB or a network share that the Zidoo can get to. Then use the APK Installer app to install it. Go into the Advanced settings (Android settings) to change the screen saver app.
This works fine outside home theather 4, but when using ht4 it uses the default images even though I have updated the advanced settings to the aerial dream.
