Hey Everyone, Have a small bug where upon booting my Z9X the menu will briefly appear and disappear to then display a snow image ( like the old no signal static on a terrestrial screen) I've attached an image. Changing resolution on the remote resolves the issue. I've tried auto resolution and setting to 4k 60hz to no avail. TV is Lg C1 and using HDMI 2.1 cable. Any help be much appreciated. Thanks
That's odd - The Zidoo will always boot up in Rec.709 but will then switch to whatever HDR mode/resolution/refresh rate that you've chosen - so it goes through two HDMI modes which will generate an HDMI resync. This would usually be dealt with in the normal way the TV handles HDMI resync - ie black screen for a few seconds, not snow which generally means loss of signal, but in such cases the TV would usually blank the input and show black or a "No Signal" message. Try saving the TV's EDID and then loading it back in as the active custom EDID. Settings/Display/Custom EDID
Hi Mark, Thanks for replying so quickly. I've saved the C1's EDID and enabled the custom option, this seems to have resolved the issue. As so far not once has the static snow presented on boot. Much appreciated J
