Every so often I find that my Z9X Pro have turned on by itself. Any idea what could possibly cause this? I've been looking through the settings, but have not found anything about this afaik.
Is CEC turned off on other devices? I've never had this myself, but I've seen reports where CEC stills seems to intervene even if turned off. Hence these babies that kill it dead: https://www.lindy.co.uk/cables-adap...07/hdmi-cec-less-adapter-female-to-male-p7299 Apart from CEC, the only things that can switch it on are WOL, RS232 and IR so my next guess would be something with the same IR code. When does it happen?
I can't say for sure. I never had it turned on when I'm at the TV. Sometimes when I come home from work, it' on. I have connected in my soundbar, so maybe CEC is still a issue. That adapter looks nice. Does it matter where I have the adapter? On the soundbar end of the Zidoo end I mean?
In the back of the Zidoo - it stops CEC getting to the HDMI socket by simply disconnecting Pin 13 which the carries CEC signal.
I woke up this morning to find that my Z2600 had been turned on. I've owned this for weeks and this was the first time that this happened. The only change I made was upgrading to the latest beta (.065). I read somewhere that the settings can get glitchy after an update, so I intentionally turned on CEC and then turned it back off. Let's see if it will wake up by itself again.
I noticed that although CEC is disabled on Zidoo device, the Zidoo device turns up if I change my AV input to it. This behavior is reproducible on Z9x and Z20 Pro both with latest firmware. A workaround for Z9x is to activate CEC on Zidoo device and to disable all CEC options. In this case Zidoo device stays off even if I change AV input to Zidoo device. On Z20 Pro this workaround does not work. This behavior/issue exists some time. Unfortunately, the developers don't seem to be able to fix it.
