Hello I tried to factory reset the Z9X Pro via the system settings, it restarted and now is stuck on a black screen with the Zidoo logo. Reading various places it seems that a recovery image is now needed?! Where can this be found please? I was going to return it because of issues, so tried to factory reset it....now I want to try the new Beta firmware to see if it makes this box better for me, but I am stuck!
Really dumb question, but I have to ask - you have turned it off and back on again? A recovery image hasn't been released yet and I'm afraid I haven't got one. Hopefully @mirror can oblige tomorrow when everyone's back at work.
No such thing as a dumb question...haha. I have tried that, yep. Both with the switch and also unplugging the cable just to be sure. Hopefully @mirror will have one, as it seems to be useless now
Update, managed to get the 9X Pro to boot, found a little reset button hidden on the side between the USB ports. So I reset it this way, turned off, put a pin in to press the reset button, kept it held in. It showed UP- on the LCD screen and then BOOT..then its taken me to the initial setup screen. So I have the box back! Will try latest firmware now.
Damn, accidentally managed to update the firmware of another device (Z20 Pro) to Z9X Pro and now the device is messed up. So I accidentally downloaded the wrong update. How else is this even possible? When the update also checks the file? It shouldn't be possible. @Markswift2003 or @mirror Does the Recovery Image already exist? Or how to get out of this situation?
Is there any way to make the device work without a recovery image? I hope you will inform the developers to fix this bug that allows the wrong firmware to be updated to the device. Is there any better information when the recovery image is coming? Or should I have the device replaced under warranty? I will get a UART-USB cable at the beginning of next week, can I try something gimmicky with it? I guess the warranty will go if I open the device.
