I ordered a z9x 8k pro from Futeko. I live in the US and it arrived today. They threw a US adapter in the box but it doesn't fit the power supply that comes with the product; therefore I can't plug it in. Would someone please let me know the PS specs so I can look around the house for a PS that might work. Do you think a PS from an old Dune 4k player might work? I don't want to fry the new player because the folks at Futeko are incompetent. This will be the last order I place with them. Thanks.
Any regulated 12v 2A wall wart will work. Yes, one from a Dune will work perfectly. Interested to know what's wrong with the adapter from Futeko though - never known them to supply an adapter that doesn't fit.
Thanks @Markswift2003 When I looked at it with a fresh brain this morning I could see the 2 Europe PSU pins pushed into the end of the adapter they sent so it was my mistake. I've already sent them an apology email to follow up the one I sent them last night. I was expecting an adapter like the Europe adapter with the round plate that attaches to the PS. I didn't think to attach the Europe adapter and then insert the pins from that one into the one they sent. I've never seen one like that before in all the media players I've bought over the years.
Yeah, I get the fresh brain thing on occasion too I'm glad about that - I've known and dealt with Futeko for a long time and I've always classed their customer service as second to none.
is the adapter a concern or big deal, or not at all ?? does it make the adapter much larger ?? debating a purchase there, but seeing zidoo direct gives the correct plug needed without an adapter..
Yes, it makes it much larger. It's ridiculously odd shaped the way it fits together. I'm not a fan of it but I made room anyway.
