Hello, My new Z1000PRO is connected on my home network linked to the internet box (LAN connection, v6.3.75 firmware). Samba works fine both ways between my W11 Computer and the Z1000PRO. The 6TB drive was formatted by the Zidoo (WD Red Plus). When I copy files into “Music” directory, I get a message that there is not enough place after about 28 GB copied. Same problem if I copy from Windows to \\ZD_SAMBA\Share or if I copy from the Z1000PRO menu. Thank you in advance for your help!
As I remember start with Windows 10 version 1903, Microsoft change how report free space from network path. \\ZD_SAMBA\Share is your internal memory of player, then on device with 32GB(Z1000Pro) will get about 28GB and on device with 16GB(Z9X) about 10GB. Please try use map network drive including UUID to connected disc \\ZD_SAMBA\Share\<uuid>. Some old topic about this can be read on Samba HDD Capacity False Reading (futeko.com) Other android player use trick to report 8TB size. Enjoy media player.
Thanks for the quick reply. From my W11 PC, I tried to map \\ZD_SAMBA\share\sda1 and I was asked for user / password authentication which seemed promising. I updated my root password in Zidoo settings, rebooted... Now the box freezes with or without the disk. No display on TV except the initial "zidoo" post. Any way to restore some factory settings?

Thanks! At this point, I have nothing to lose. I prefer to restart on a clean basis: I'm going to flash the box.
Perfect ! :thks: ... and my Zidoo is up again with the latest firmware and recommended settings. I connected \\ZD_SAMBA\share\ followed by the UUID of the disk. I see my disk properly but still with the same size limitation. I installed TeraCopy and it works. (I believe I had previously written my data in the system part of the Zidoo...hence the strange behavior and the crash)
