    Hi all,
I just downloaded three Captain America trailers in 2160p. The YUV formats are 420,422,444. As I was curious to see what the differences were.
My z9x will only play the 420 version. I have it set to player led and all the settings as per Marks post .Is this normal and if so why do we set the YUV settings to 10 bits 444 priority etc.
    Rgds

Perfectly normal - 4:2:2 & 4:4:4 are non standard encoding formats.

All commercial content is encoded in 4:2:0 and ideally that's what we'd output in, but oddly the HDMI specs don't allow that for 23-30fps so we have to upscale to 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 in that case. 50-60fps is allowed at 4:2:0 so in that case we can output in that format.
