Is there a published remote control protocol for the X9? I am arranging to have an RTI control driver created as I would like to control this device via IP. I was not able to find anything on this site or the web.
Don't know if it works with the X9s but this is how I command my zidoo with my RTI system and what works for the X10 with 2.0.5 (beta) firmware EDIT I found now all informations directly in the developer platform. Thanks @mirror (Edit) see hereinunder post #20
Are there any additional codes for important actions such as Play, Pause, Stop, FWD, REW, Audio, Top Menu (I know the remote doesn't have this one), etc? I'm trying to set this up for iRule.
Haven't found it so far... Hopefully they add it in a future release or publish the official protocol. I'm new to zidoo so I have not even a clue if this forum is actively followed by somebody from zidoo.. I have two other of these android (competitor) boxes so I became used to pay...receive...try...enjoy...find out what's not working..ask in a forum...get lucky if a dev picks it up or get just no answer...see a new firmware...find that it's fixed or not...see what is better and what else was broken....ask in the forum.................
That doesn't really help. There's no information on what the name of the keys are for each function. Of course, even using the txt file myzidoo posted, I could not get the codes to function when I tested it (but I think I know why and can fix it). I'd settle for a list of all the IR codes at this point. It's very frustrating trying to setup the zidoo when I have to do it all working around a door (my devices are not in the same room as my screen).
I stand corrected Thank you...appreciated. Kevinicius is right : api documentation : GET /ZidooControlCenter/RemoteControl/' + [sendkey, inputtext] + '?' + [key,''] + '=' +Key --> Is there a list of ALL recognized [key] variables ( i particularly miss Audio Key and Subtitle Key] Lastly : Please in a future firmware keep the LAN NIC powered ON when etering standby so that it could respond to power command or WOL I also noticed that under certain circumstances it rejects the command due to a missing json call appended to the command. Would be interested if you find a fix Try these : Thanks
Well, looks like it doesn't matter. I updated to 1.5 and now the box outputs a black screen or a jumbled mess after the zidoo logo. I can't do anything with it. Looks like I'll be returning it to Amazon and getting an Egreat, Zappiti or waiting for something else. Pretty disappointing.
been there, done that ...zappiti still no full menu support and egreat A11 (i call it the Hisilicon club) has android5, a strange posterwall (not sure but seems to be dvdfab's vidon.me distribution) enough other issues and low forum interaction. NB ip/rs-232 command ability is great . give it a last try: make a hardreset on the zidoo and try the 2.0.5 firmware. the included hometheater 2.0 is IMHO better than many out there
I don't know what's going on for your side. Try press "resolution" key(left from number "0") after boot finished. or do a flash. https://www.zidoo.tv/Support/support_guide/guide_target/[ld]XQnOt03YTBKKmVViAFMcQ==.html
Thank you for adding new keys. in order of importance I really miss : 1. audio 2. subtitle and 3. resolution Actually Resolution remains important...I found audio and subtitle direct commands in the api for the NIC : I see too bad...
Thanks for the update to the documentation. I went ahead and did a flash and an update to 2.05 and it's working now. And the 4K file I was trying now looks correctly (old firmware didn't handle HDR to SDR right), so it looks like the main reason for me getting the Zidoo is functioning now. I'll test out some more files and try and get control working on iRule. If it works out, I may keep it after all. Edit: Other 4K files look okay, bust still too bright. I'm not sure I want to watch them like that...
Are you sure on these? I get no response with them. Edit: I may have found the problem. It appears my copying and pasting into iRule introduced a leading space with most of the codes. I'll try more with it tonight.
I also had to experiment a bit. http call is for ex : http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9529/ZidooControlCenter/RemoteControl/sendkey?key=Key.Menu if you make a simple packet TDP call...(BTW you can try it out either with realterm or packet sender) the command is : GET /ZidooControlCenter/RemoteControl/sendkey?key=Key.Menu HTTP/1.0\r\n\r\n
I think I will stick with IR if I can get it to work, so I can power it on. Any idea exactly where the IR sensor is?
The IR worked with RTI. If I'm not mistaken the IR is on the left side of the front LCD windows in the middle
I got the IR working. The leading spaces was the problem. The only issue is the page down/Prev command. That was not working properly. It seemed like it worked more like the Up arrow command. Which, now that I look at the command codes, they are the same code. That can't be right. Is that a misprint in the code?
