Why is this combined in one forum chapter? Not everyone knows how to use prefix so it is quite confusing. Because not a lot people own a X8 yet it will not a problem but soon this will seem to be frustrating. If the both are working with the same firmware etc. it is not a big deal. But at least I understand the root solution is only for X9S. So in my opinion, as soon to be X8 owner, it would be wiser to create a separate X8 chapter. Or.....???
Agreed when the FW is shared then it should be combined if different versions will be maintained then the topic should be split accordingly. If there is only a marginal difference like rooting and further FW updates are released synchrone then one topic still could make sense. At least one member claimed code to be portable from X9S to X8, which I would not try unless officially confirmed by zidoo.
