Why buy this over existing Zidoo Z9x?

Doubt it. Both Dune and Zidoo have adopted this SoC in their new models - and it does not, and will never, support 3D. If you need 3D support you will need to stick with current models.

No - I think SOC manufacturers, like TV manufacturers have finally decided it's time to ditch 3D.

Not sure about Portugal, but @McBluna has compiled as list of retailers stocking the new models - see link below. But as Mark says Futeko in the UK are always a good option.

Maybe I miss understand but on my current Z9x, I play a movie and it switches my projector to the correct HDR10, hdr10plus, SDR etc.

Shame, I guess I could use this new one for everything but 3d and the old one for 3d. Currently don't really have a reason to switch though I guess.

VS10 is locked for some reason, you either have it on or off, i want it for DV content, but if it's on it will only output on that mode, even SDR

On the Futeko website it says the z3000 pro plays 3d SBS and Top and Bottom so I'm confused now. I have attached a screenshot from the website. I have the z1000 pro and wondering if the 3d specs are the same ie sbs and Top n Bottom

Sorry - should have been clearer - it of course supports SBS and OU since they are just standard video signals that just happen to have half resolution images next to each other - there is no processing required by the SOC. The display does all processing.

It doesn't support Frame Packed 3D (MVC) which is of course full resolution - think of the former as TV Led 3D and the latter as Player Led 3D.

Hello, I am Spanish and the only official distributor of Zidoo Spain is www.zococity.es, they do not yet have the Zidoo Z9X 8K, they will let me know when it is available.

So just to clarify, if the z3000 pro is set to bitstream then a 3d display device should still display full 3d. I have an AWOL LTV3500 projector that displays MVC 3D so I assume that should be fine.

    Bitstream what??? That's audio.

    No.

I'll update the Recommended Settings thread as this doesn't seem to be getting through.

Sorry about that. What I meant is if I stream a 3dbdiso from the z3000 pro to my awol ltv3500 then will it still play an mvc quality 3d video as it currently does with my z1000 pro.

    Gotcha - no, it won't, it'll play in 2D.

MVC requires processing in the player, which as I say, is not supported by the SOC.

Thanks for clarifying. What a pity as I have hundreds of 3d isos and that is definitely a deal breaker for me.

I guess once 3D failed again (for the 3rd time!) the writing was on the wall...

I wonder if there's any good 3d processors that can convert the 3diso from the z3000 pro and send it to the projector.

Wouldn't work because the signal coming out of the box is standard video.
