    Hi all -

For the last two days, every title Ive tried that I know to be DV encoded, just displays HDR10. I've verified numerous settings and have even connected my 2000 pro directly to my Sony A80J, bypassing my receiver and nothing works. Cold booted 200 Pro as well.

I know this is not "true" DV, but I WAS able to see that DV logo when I expected to and now it's just HDR10. Help please.

What do you mean by "I know this is not "true" DV, but I WAS able to see that DV logo when I expected to"

Oh... that it cannot decode P7 FEL... Not sure what it does detect, but I read that P7 FEL is limited by chipset

No, it can play P7 FEL, it just doesn't use the enhancement layer only the RPU - so a P7 FEL file will still output Dolby Vision.

So if you are getting the HDR10 logo when playing P7 content that means that the box is receiving an HDR10 only EDID and you have HDR set to Auto.

Can you post your EDID with the Zidoo directly connected to the Sony:

    To Download EDID
    ================

    Settings/Display/Custom EDID/Save EDID

Save to a USB stick or network location

Post file as attachment to forum

Ok - as expected that EDID doesn't have a Dolby Block so that's why the Zidoo won't output in Dolby Vision.

The A80J has different Dolby Vision modes - I'm guessing that's got turned off somehow. Maybe during a software update?

Anyway, the problem is the Sony, not the Zidoo or the receiver.

Is there anyway I can restore it? Thanks for helping me troubleshoot this.

I think I found the answer!! Did some Googling and -

In the Settings Menu on the Sony/HDMI Signal Format - mine was set to Enhanced Format so I changed it to Enhanced Format (Dolby Vision) and lo and behold - a DV 4K disc I popped in to my Oppo, now correctly shows "Dolby Vision" instead of HDR10

Now, watching a DV rip on my Zidoo and it shows DV logo!!

Thank you so much for your speedy and EXPERT help..WHEW~!
