Hi can the A6 be viewed as a network drive for transferring files to and from the unit? Its got a gigabit ethernet so would be reasonably quick rather than having to remove/ insert the SSD....
Yes, of course it can. It's covered in the manual and the relevant screen in the GUI even gives tips on how to do it...
Don't expect highspeed transfer. For me it was about 30 - 60 MB/sec and so transferring directly to the SSD should be much faster.
Hi, I wondered if anyone could help. i can find the unit and the default storage but can't find the SSD so it says I only 24gb rather than 1tb - I've tried pretty much everything I can think of... I want to run a file transfer from my NAS to the A6. Thanks in advance, Martin.
the 24gb is internal storage, it not ssd. first instore the ssd, and then you can goto file manager to check ssd, it must format ssd if it is new.
Hi, yes in the unit and on the control app. All that is showing in file explorer is the share then storage as a subfolder but it's the internal storage not the ssd.
weird - I reformatted and it just showed up as 1tb but then dropped back to 24gb after I refreshed....
Hi, I've sorted it - so it doesn't seem to matter what i call it in the unit, it comes up with a 16 digit alpha numeric file name inside the share folder. I threw me because it also doesn't show the size of the drive in properties.... And I cant rename it in explorer... No permission ...
