    Hi,

I set up my Z9X last night, its connected via gigabit Ethernet. It doesnt seem to be automatically playing trailers. Also when I click on the option to play a trailer, it wont play them either.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    thanks for the response!
The trailers aren’t playing in the top right of the movie menu screen, nor do they play when I select the trailer option for a movie.

I’ve uploaded some example images, including my settings.

Moved to correct forum (assuming you have a Z9X and not a Z9X Pro)

Ok i've found a script that downloads and adds .trailer to the file. I can hear the video audio, but it doesnt play the trailer

    So you're using local trailers?

    What's the codec?

    They are MP4 files

I have always used "Movie Name-trailer#1.mp4" for naming but I don't know if a - or a . makes any difference?

That's the wrapper not the codec - can you post a mediaInfo report.

    Doesn't matter, it just needs a delimiter - I use a "."

I keep my naming simple so in this case my movie is called Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023).mkv and the trailer Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)-trailer.mp4
    Works

Still can't tell the full story from that - it's not a full report so can't tell whether it's 8-bit, 10-bit or what profile it is.

Either way, it's VP9 which is a pain in the ar*e Google codec.

If you use a standard h.264 file and all will be good.

Yes - that shows as Profile 0.

I can't remember what the issue was with VP9, but I seem to remember it was to do with the level.
