Synology connection to Ziddo X6 pro

Hi all, is there a "How to" manual how to connect my synology NAS to the Ziddo ?
I want to watch my movies on the NAS via my Ziddo and I can't find a way to do it.
Please advice.

 

If you use XBMC/KODI in video/file add video, browse, you will have windows network (SMB). Browse to your movie folder then OK, name your media source then OK. In next windows, "this directory contains" choose movie then OK.

 

No NFS connection? only SMB ? SMB is very slow ... will that be enough for full HD movies?

 

If you only try what I explain you would have see that NFS is also available....

 

I am running KODI WIZ which is an upgrade for the KODI with tons extras but the problem is that it is crashing a lot..
So I am trying to figure that out also..

 

You can find the nfs and samba device via file explorer

 

How can I access the NAS from ZIDOO MEDIA CENTER ? I tried but it didn't recognize it...
2 reasons that I bought the Zidoo, 1. NAS connection for movies and 2. for KODI which doing problems now.. LOL...

 

Press "left" button you can find SMB and NFS function

 

CIFS/SAMBA working normal / well with your NAS.

To acces SAMBA [SMB] from Zidoo center:

-press left arrow on RC and choose SMB,you will see name of your NAS on right

-press „Menu” on your RC and press delete,confirm

-press „Menu” again and choose add

-write your internal adress,folder name you want to add,user name and password

-now,you can choose SMB from left and acces without trouble from right.

Hi, still can't find NAS via NFS or SMB, I attached the NAS configurations.
anyone here has synology NAS connected to his Zidoo ?
regarding manual configuration, I couldn't config it..

 

are they on the same network segment?

 

yes one is 192.168.10.4 and the second is 192.168.10.21
I can log in from the PC to my NAS

 

1.internet cable go to router.
2.from router to:NAS,PC,Zidoo with Ethernet cable.
3.i presume you have cable from router to Zidoo,not wireless.
4.If all this are ok,from Kodi,add your adress,user,password.
If you can't do 4,your local network are not ok.
