I have tried with curious SMB via this Wrapper and without success: "Cannot play the file". Locally played files via USB 3.0 (.mkv) are working without problems, the same way like in ZDMC, but whole application is working much faster, better response etc. Kodi 18.9 works even faster...

Kodi 18.9 >= ZDMC 18.9 > Kodi 19.3 > ZDMC 19.1 - just my personal feelings.

Yeah, I tried all those in every possible combination. But I did find a very interesting solution...

If you add the shares using "Add a network location..." instead of browsing using the Windows SMB browser/scan you can add the shares manually including user name and password. Works every time.

 

there is a way to root the zidoo z9x and use the xbmcwrapper also with a NAS, but I don't recommend doing it. It can brick your player, if you're doing anything wrong. And I think the root process has to be done again after every firmware update, but I'm not sure about that, it could be that I'm wrong about that.
Well, it wouldn't be worth it to me. But if anyone cares, here is how to do it, but like I said, I don't recommend doing it and I haven't tested it by myself

Anyone else having problems with t streaming video addons? I know they won’t use the internal video player, but most don’t work at all, they just play back audio only. I think it has something to do with Zidoo’s Widevine implementation.

 

From about a year ago Zidoo DRM ID is banned, so any addon or streaming application which need use Google Widevine L1 will end with error.

 

That’s pretty lame because there are plenty of valid uses for Kodi addons that you already have a paid accounts for.

 

Just install kodi as well, I have 19.3, for addon use,
Zdmc is also installed

 

I did, those same addons don’t work in standard Kodi either. Same problem, just audio, no video.

 

Strange, I don't use a ton, but mine have no issues with video.
Are you able to see the player overlay , say time remaining, pause play things like that?? Showing the video output is working , vs a sync, resolution, hz issue??

Is it 1 add on or several ?? Seeing mention of Widevine, not sure I use that. Doesn't ring a bell, sorry.

 

Is ZDMC 19.3 being worked on? Please, yes?

ARM V8A is not compatible with my Z9X then I'd installed kodi-19.4-Matrix-armeabi-v7a.apk

 

I listed all available downloads for all multi platforms of Matrix 19.4 and there relative links .

 

No release notes for 19.4 available as yet

With this firmware my Z9X is freezing while updating and later on during standard process. It may suspect that some dependences are not yet updated.

I have been updating threads that it is out too.

I have turned of external player and am playing MP4 Dolby Vision (TV Led) and HDR + DD+ EA3 Dolby Atmos

Have locked to 23.976 and have switched the audio passthrough output device to

Video looks great, the If Zidoo was able to debug the audio engine the combination of these two below would be completely functional. Anyways, just thought I would play around with it a little bit. I did a clean install of ZDMC as well.


Tested with External Player OFF in ZDMC 19.4

AudioTrack (ICE), Kodi IEC packer (recommended)

Dolby Digital (AC3) Capable is on (Dolby 5.1 /YES)
Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC3) is not available (MISSING) . rebooted again and it was there, but still no Atmos.
DTS Capable is on (DTS OK)
DTS-HD Capable is on (DTS-X YES and in sync)
TRUE-HD Capable is on (TrueHD ATMOS YES, but out of sync )
