One of the dissapointments of the Zidoo is CEC functionality, directional keys are not working (left, right, up, down are in shuffle mode it seems) and there is no context menu-button also the Zidoo won't go in stand-by at the same time as the TV's but (when manually set in stand-by) it does wake-up at the same time.
I tried two TV's, both LG with an high speed category 2 HDMI cable compatible up to 4096x2160p @ 60Hz 16bits, I teste with the following configurations:
    LG 47LX9500:
    auto (1920x1080p-60)
    1280x720p-50
    1280x720p-60
    1920x1080p-24
    1920x1080p-25
    1920x1080p-30
    1920x1080p-50
    1920x1080p-60
    LG 55EF950V
    auto (4096x2160p-60 (YCbCr420))
    1280x720p-50
    1280x720p-60
    1920x1080p-24
    1920x1080p-25
    1920x1080p-30
    1920x1080p-50
    1920x1080p-60
    3840x2160p-24
    3840x2160p-25
    3840x2160p-30
    3840x2160p-50 (YCbCr420)
    3840x2160p-60 (YCbCr420)
    4096x2160p-24
    4096x2160p-25
    4096x2160p-30
    4096x2160p-50 (YCbCr420)
    4096x2160p-60 (YCbCr420)

While I also tried a Raspberry Pi 2 model B with kodi 17 that contains libCEC 3.0 and it functions flawless..(only no 4k support of course)
