Hi, I am using the Zidoo Z9X and trying to use the frame-rate switch function. but seems the function doesn't work. I tried Tivimate, Kodi, Emby and enabled the AFR option on the apps but still doesn't work. It doesn't change the frame rate supported by the videos. Give me some advice about it. If there is an app that the function is working, please let me know which apps it appears to work with. Thanks,
It works with the internal Player. If you want to use a posterwall app, than use the home theater 4, or if you want to use kodi, than use zdmc 18.9 it's zidoos kodi fork, Download here: https://www.mcbluna.net/wp/zidoo/zdmc-apk-v18-9/
Zidoo boxes are not designed to work in the same way as so called "Kodi Boxes" which use the basic Android player - it uses its own player and as such most apps don't have access to it. It used to use a wrapper front end of Kodi called ZDMC but then moved to its own front end HT (Home Theatre) currently in version 4 (hence HT4) a couple of years ago. ZDMC uses the Zidoo player so has frame rate switching and although not officially supported, it had a few revisions up to Kodi 18 after the last official release at Kodi 16.
